The ProLite T1731SAW-1 uses highly accurate Surface Acoustic Wave Touch Technology (SAW) with a pure-glass scratch resistive front, offering superior image clarity and screen durability. The screen can be touched with a soft stylus, finger or gloved hand making it suitable for a number of applications, and the robust design and solid but flexible stand ensures resilience in the most demanding environment. Menu Buttons are located on the side of the screen which can be locked to prevent tampering, and include a handy function to deactivate the Touch Screen for cleaning . Touch technology - SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE
Surface acoustic wave uses ultrasonic waves that pass over the panel. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed and a touch event is registered. Because the screen is covered with a glass layer this technology offers great picture performance (high contrast and colour accuracy). It is also scratch-resistant technology and therefore ideal for use in Public Places or Schools. Even if the screen is scratched, the touch function remains unaffected. Surface Acoustic Touch screens are activated with finger or a soft stylus touch.

IP54
The IP Code classifies how resistant a device is to foreign objects and moisture. IP54 means that the monitor will operate in dusty conditions, and will resist splashing water.

RS-232 and USB connectivity
For greater flexibility this monitor supports touchscreen connectivity with either USB or RS-232 interfaces.De ProLite T1731SAW gebruikt een zeer precieze Touch-techniek, de Surface Acoustic Wave Touch (SAW). Het LCD-panel is voorzien van een krasbestendige Touch glasplaat. De touch-interface kan bediend worden met uw vinger (met of zonder handschoen) of met een stylus, waarmee deze monitor zeer breed ingezet kan worden. Het robuuste ontwerp is voorzien van een verstelbare monitorvoet waarmee de T1731SAW zich binnen de meest uiteenlopende omgevingen met gemak staande weet te houden. De menu-knoppen zitten aan de zijkant van het scherm en kunnen geblokkeerd worden t.v.v. ongewenste menu-wijzigingen. De iiyama ProLite T1731SAW Touch is de ideale monitor voor o.a. educatief gebruik, training, informatie-zuilen (POS), controlekamers en receptiebalie’s.

Touch technology - SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE
De Surface Acoustic Wave- techniek maakt gebruik van ultrasone geluidsgolven op een oppervlak. Wanneer het LCD-paneel wordt aangeraakt, dan zal een deel van die golven geabsorbeerd worden en hierdoor wordt een aanraking waargenomen. Omdat het paneel van glas is, is dit gunstig voor een nog betere beeldweergave qua kleur en contrast. Daarnaast is dit krasbestendige touch-paneel ideaal voor het gebruik in openbare ruimten en in een educatieve omgeving zoals o.a. scholen. Zelfs als een paneel bekrast zou zijn, dan nog blijft de touch-interface 100% functioneel. De Surface Acoustic Wave-techniek maakt gebruik van de vinger of een zachte stylus (i.v.m. de geluids-absorbtie).

IP54
De IP code op dit apparaat is een aanduiding voor de mate van beveiliging van de contructie tegen eigen schade door gebruik in bepaalde omgevingen. IP54 geeft aan dat het apparaat te gebruiken is in stoffige ruimten en aan de voorkant bestand is tegen een plens water.

RS-232 en USB aansluiting
De touchcreen is flexibel aan te sluiten, hij is voorzien van een USB en RS-232 aansluiting.
